Outdoor concert in Niagara-on-the-Lake. We got there just as Serena Ryder finished her set and we heard her last 4 songs (including her one radio hit “Stompa”). We got fairly close to the stage for the reason we were there, Jimmy Eat World. They put on a great 1 hour set, filled with the hits and energy – Jim sweat up a storm in the sweltering heat. Next up was Metric who are a fantastic live band – it poured rain for most of their set but we brought dollar store ponchos so we stayed mostly dry. We left partway through City and Colour to beat the traffic, since getting there took a long time and the field they were using as a parking lot was bound to be a clusterfuck. We were lucky to get free tickets from The Edge booth for Edgefest and Weezer which was a nice bonus.
