Weezer – Sarnia Bayfest 07/10/2010

Weezer were playing Sarnia Bayfest and after years of thinking of making the drive up there, we finally did. We scored some VIP tickets off the internet (from a young girl who clearly got grounded and wasn’t able to go) at a good price and made the trek. It was definitely worth it. The day had great weather and the VIP section in front of the stage was nicely blocked off from the rest of the masses, so it wasn’t too cramped.

The day kicked off with a few local bands and then finally some names. Crash Karma did a decent set, breaking out a few hits from their past bands as well. Sam Roberts Band had some tech difficulties but were decent and then Weezer blew the roof off the place. It was another sight to see Rivers in full mischief mode, demolishing a video camera, climbing scaffolding and acting crazy. It was a long drive back but definitely worth it.
